all staff were excellent, we invited relatives for evening meals on both nights and the meals were exceptional. the selection of ales and ciders was superb and prices for meals were very very reasonable but quality was superb. we had great parking right next to the building which made it easy for our luggage. the rooms are nicely furnished and it was a lovely warm welcome from the staff.

the entrance hall looked tatty as the paint was coming off and the bathroom had black marks on the ceiling.

Would recommend for a short interlude

Cozy room, lovely staff, beautiful food, with a comfortable bed and a delightful shower making our stay enjoyable, and the bar/lounge area provided a great place to unwind after exploring the city’s attractions.

Can’t fault the property in any way.

Family Enjoys Relaxing Stay

The bar and restaurant were very comfortable and inviting, had 2 excellent evening meals. My sons 18th birthday celebration was lovely thanks to the amazing Cajan Chicken Burger I had while Julie's service made it even better.

It wasn't exactly economical but still worth what I paid.

We had a fantastic time during our stay. The Standard Double Room was comfortable and well-decorated, providing a cozy atmosphere. The dining experience was exceptional, with a standout breakfast that included fresh pastries and a variety of options. I found the shower setup a bit tricky, as the sliding doors didn't open far enough and made access somewhat difficult.

Stayed here for two nights and found the rooms comfortable and clean. The accommodating staff made my birthday celebration memorable with excellent dining options. cold food upon serving slightly disrupted the experience. an enjoyable stay for a runner looking for a cozy escape.

Room cleanliness could use improvement. Breakfast options were excellent, with freshly cooked meals and great variety. Service at times felt slow.

The chalet room was perfect, but the heavy duvet was uncomfortable in summer.

The stay was super chill, perfect for our Beamish trip! The room was clean and cozy, but the double bed was just two singles pushed together, so kinda awkward. Loved how dog-friendly it was. they had treats and a nice space for pups at the bar. Breakfast was decent, but wasn’t impressed with the continental options.

I had a lovely overnight stay where I enjoyed a hearty Full English breakfast and the cozy vibe of the countryside. The garden was perfect for relaxing with a good book and they had a nice outdoor seating area too. The room had a couple of damp patches, but it was clean and cozy overall, and I'd definitely recommend checking it out if you need a peaceful stopover! 😊
